Grand opening for HSB Living Lab!

Monday 5 September saw the grand opening of the unique HSB Living Lab, a building combining research facilities and student housing adjacent to Johanneberg Science Park in the Chalmers district of Gothenburg. The keynote speaker at the grand opening was Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Minister for Higher Education and Research.  Swedish Modules participated in the design phase and was responsible for construction and assembly of the property on a plot in the midst of existing buildings. The building consists of a total of 44 modules that form 5 floors with 29 residential flats, including stairs and lift shafts. HSB owns the building. Architects Tengboms, Gothenburg.

We are pleased and proud to have been involved in this project, which produced a building as innovative as HSB Living Lab. We would like to thank everyone involved for a great collaborative experience and are excited to see the research projects that will be carried out in the building.

The modules were shipped down on 8 February 2016 and were ready for occupancy in June 2016.
