HSB LL: 44 modules heading for Gothenburg and Chalmers
Ground was broken for the unique HSB Living Lab project on 11 September. Four months later, this coming Sunday (7 February), the 44 completely furnished modules will begin to roll on custom-built trailers down to the construction site adjacent Chalmers in Gothenburg. Two intense weeks await Swedish Modules’ installers and tradesmen who are primarily responsible at the construction site.
The major advantage of modular construction is that the total on-site construction time is extremely short compared with a traditional on-site project.
The 44 modules will be assembled into an impressive 29 flats, including meeting spaces and entrances on four floors. Everything is completely prepared in the Swedish Modules factory in Emtunga. HSB Living Lab, including the adjacent areas, will be ready for the grand opening on 1 June.
